TitleRural road accident study
AuthorsDorsch MM, Lane J, McCaul KA, Maclean S, McLean AJ, Somers RL
Year1985
TypeReport
AbstractThere were three main objectives of the study described in this report: 1. to determine, from analysis of relevant literature and South Australia accident daca, the nature of road safety problems in relation to rural accidents in South Australia; 2. to identify the significance of these problems by geographical area of South Australia; 3. to propose and, if possible, determine the likely value of countermeasures to the identified problems and problem areas. Whilst the scope of the study was necessarily limited due to the shortage of resources available, it is considered that the results go some considerable way to achieving these objectives.
