A simple coding scheme and a formula, the Head Injury Probability of Death Score (HIPODS), can be used to compare head-injury severity between trauma groups and to predict group mortality. The HIPODS was derived statistically from a Danish data set; it was validated on two additional data sets, one Danish and one Australian. | | Publisher | Road Accident Research Unit | | Publisher City | Adelaide | | Page Count | 20 | | Notes | available from CASR library on request |
