AbstractThis talk will explain some of the mechanisms of brain injury and then describe the head injury research that has arisen from studies of pedestrians and car occupants carried out at the Unit. Head injury includes soft tissue injury of the scalp which will not be considered further, fractures of the skull, and injuries of the brain.
