This has been made possible by including in the report forms certain items which facilitvte the precise identification of each car and which provide an adequate description of the nature and severity of any collision damage. These items are routinely reported by a police officer whenever he fills out a report form on a motor vehicle accident. The effectiveness of energy-absorbing steering columns and side door reinforcement beams lias recently been evaluated by the author usinghese data. The major results oj these studies are presented together with a discussion of the method of analysis adopted in each case. | ISBN | 0909996679 | Conference Name | the Seventh conference of the Australian Road Research Board | Conference Abbreviation | ARRB | Conference Location | Adelaide, Australia | Conference Date | 19-23 August 1974 | Page Range | 26-47 | Page Count | 22 |
