McLean at Road Safety Researchers Conference, 28 November, 1986 | Authors | McLean AJ | Year | 1986 | Type | Presentation | Abstract | What I intend to do over the next 15 minutes or so is to run through or just touch on some topics, many of which I suspect will have been mentioned. In fact, in the review of the workshop sessions there were one or two things discussed which means I will skate over them fairly quickly. I haven't structured this as requested in the strict sense of countermeasures which we know work, countermeasures which we know don't work and ones we are not sure about, because I guess my view is that our degree of certainty is not necessarily such that we can do that in a way that is necessarily all that helpful. Rather I want to divide the topic up into general categories - prevention of accident, prevention of injury being the two mains, but to start off with one that was mentioned earlier in this session and that's the matter of reduced exposure to risk. | Publisher | Road Accident Research Unit | Publisher City | Adelaide | Conference Name | Road Safety Researchers Conference | Conference Date | 28 November 1986 | Page Count | 11 | Notes | available from CASR library on request |
