AbstractThis report presents the findings of a workshop on alcohol and road accidents, conducted by the Traffic Injury Research Foundation of Canada (TIRF). The workshop took place from November 29 through December 2,1981, at the Lake Louise Inn, Lake Louise, Alberta. The Alberta Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Commission (AADAC) sponsored the conduct of the workshop as well as the preparation of this report. The workshop approach was designed to accomplish the following general objectives: in light of past research and countermeasure efforts, to examine major issues in the area of alcohol and traffic safety; and to identify priorities for future research and action programs.
