EDR data was collected from 220 crashed vehicles during 2017 and 2018, and 171 of these were matched to police reports. This data showed that 18% of striking vehicles were speeding and indicated that seatbelt wearing rates in crashes is close to 100%. EDR data provides a more accurate indication of levels of speeding in crashes than available from police reports alone. | | Conference Name | 2019 Australasian Road Safety Conference | | Conference Abbreviation | ARSC | | Conference Location | Adelaide, Australia | | Conference Date | 25 – 27 September 2019 |
