Access Policies
The Library is primarily intended for the use of CASR staff and those
associated with the Centre. Others may be able to access the library's
resources after obtaining permission from CASR.
Loans
Items from the Library's collection are only loaned to those people or organisations
directly associated with CASR, library members, or via interlibrary loan.
Inter Library Loans
The CASR Library is a member of the GRATIS, Tranzinfo and ADLIS networks and has
free-exchange agreements with some other libraries. Libraries not members
of these networks should provide standard ACLIS payment. Interlibrary loan
requests can be made by phone, post, fax (remote) or email. Reference items
and some reports or conference proceedings are not for external loan. Photocopies
of individual conference papers may be supplied.
Photocopying
Library users not associated with CASR must pay cash for photocopying.
Current Awareness Service
A monthly "What's New Bulletin" is produced, listing new information
available in the CASR Library collection. You can view the current bulletin
by selecting 'What's New' from the website menu. Citations of selected relevant
journal articles, reports, books and conference proceedings are the main
items included.
Please Note
Students and other members of the public are encouraged to search their school,
university, work and public libraries prior to contacting CASR's library.
We will try to assist individuals with information requests, but any person
or organisation requiring on-going assistance should negotiate a service
fee with the Centre. Teachers should contact the library on behalf of their
students, rather than encouraging them to make multiple requests for similar
information.
