Adelaide is the capital of South Australia, one of the six states of Australia. Situated between a magnificent coast line and surrounding hills, Adelaide enjoys a Mediterranean climate and is one of the few, well planned cities in the world. The population, now over 1 million, is friendly and cosmopolitan.
Venue
The Adelaide Convention Centre will be the venue for the conference including the welcoming reception and conference dinner. It is conveniently located on North Terrace close to the entertainment, cultural and central business districts of Adelaide.
Conference Dates
The conference will commence on Sunday evening, 13 August with a welcoming reception and conclude on Friday afternoon, 18 August. Formal conference sessions will be held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. There will be an organised excursion during the day on Wednesday and a conference dinner Tuesday night.
The ICADTS Executive Board will meet on Sunday 13 August between 1.00pm and 2.30pm with the General Meeting of ICADTS to follow from 3.00pm to 5.30pm at the Convention Centre.
Conference Proceedings
A copy of the conference proceedings will be supplied to all registrants at the start of the conference. The cost of this copy is included in the registration fee. Additional copies can be purchased or ordered at the registration desk.
Official Language
The official language of the Conference is English. Please note that both oral and written communications for the Conference, presentations and all printed material relating to the Conference will be in the English language. It is expected that all presenters will be effective communicators in the English language.
Trade Exhibition
A trade exhibition will take place in the Adelaide Convention Centre during the conference. Participation is open to any individual or organisation involved in the field of alcohol, drugs and traffic safety. Please contact the Conference Secretariat for further information.
